I am like the kind of people who don't love reading, since there are already a bunch of academic books to read... Recently, I wanted to make myself few changes so I decided to start from one of the hard things for me: Reading.
The thought of having a 30-day challenge originally comes from the TED talk: Try something new for 30 days. Also, there is one of my favorite quote,
So here is the thing: I am going to continuously read books for 30 days! You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great
Normally, there are 2 ways to execute the challenge:
- a certain amount of pages per day
- one book per day
However, I will have many exams in the incoming month, I decided to do it in my way: one book per week.
ReWork: Change the Way You Work Forever
The reason why I choose this one is because I do want to change my way of working, like more efficiently or more effectively. The authors are from the same start-up, so basically the book is not based on theories but experiences. In the beginning chapters, the authors mentioned that the success rate of a new start-up is higher for those who have already succeeded before. For those who failed, the success rate is the same as beginners. It's really interesting for me cause I always want to start my own business.
Second week:
